A consent receipt is a timestamped record issued every time a visitor makes a cookie or data consent choice. With ConsentX, each receipt includes the policy version shown, a SHA-256 policy hash, and the categories the visitor accepted or declined - giving you proof of exactly what was agreed to, not just that consent was logged.

ConsentX lets you resolve a per-visitor consent receipt on demand, showing the exact policy version, timestamp, and categories accepted for that visitor on a given date. This is the evidence auditors and regulators under GDPR, DPDPA, and CCPA typically request during compliance reviews.

A tamper-evident consent record is bound into a cryptographic hash chain (SHA-256) so that any edit to a past entry breaks the chain and is immediately detectable. This turns your consent log into verifiable audit evidence rather than a database of rows that could be silently altered.
