Frequently asked questions
How long should a title tag be?+
Keep titles under about 600 pixels, roughly 50 to 60 characters, so Google does not truncate them. The tool shows a live pixel width and warns when you go over.
How long should a meta description be?+
Aim for 150 to 155 characters. Longer descriptions are usually cut off with an ellipsis. Lead with the benefit and a clear call to action.
Why does my real Google result look different?+
Google can rewrite titles and descriptions, and may add sitelinks, dates, breadcrumbs or rich results. This tool shows the standard snippet so you can optimise the parts you control.
Is the SERP preview tool free?+
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser, nothing is stored, and there is no sign-up.
